Ackland Art Museum first at a public U.S. university to own a collection of drawings by Rembrandt

Dr. Sheldon Peck ’63 and his wife, Leena made a 25 million dollar gift to the Ackland Museum in January 2017.  The gift included an 8 million dollar endowment for a new curator and established the Peck Collection which includes  134 primarily 17th-century European masterworks including seven works by Rembrandt van Rijn works.  This gift is the largest in Ackland’s history.  Additional information about this wonderful gift can be found here.
