Dr. Sheldon Peck ’63 and his wife, Leena made a 25 million dollar gift to the Ackland Museum in January 2017. The gift included an 8 million dollar endowment for a new curator and established the Peck Collection which includes 134 primarily 17th-century European masterworks including seven works by Rembrandt van Rijn works.
