Tar Heel Service Day 2015: #ServeCarolina in the Midlands

tarheelservicedayJoin your Columbia Carolina Club in a day of service to honor our university’s founding and rich tradition in giving back by volunteering some time in Columbia.

The Free Medical Clinic at 1875 Harden St. is in desperate need of a small group of volunteers to help pressure wash the sides of the building and assist with general landscaping and maintenance around the building. The group will have provide a pressure washer to help with this project.

The Free Medical Clinic’s mission is to provide quality health care, at no cost, to residents of the community who cannot pay for such services and who have no health insurance. Because the clinic works so hard to provide these crucial services to members in the community, the building and grounds are often overlooked.

We need about 10 volunteers to join us on Oct. 10. If you are interested in helping or lending a pressure washer, send a message to Murray Coleman or Mary-Kathryn Craft.
